The tour starts from Chania center, it is about 60km to go (1 hour). Rethymno city is rich with ancient history, most notably through the Minoan civilisation centered at Kydonia east of Rethymno. Rethymno itself began a period of growth when the Venetian conquerors of the island decided to put an intermediate commercial station between Heraklion and Chania, acquiring its own bishop and nobility in the process. Today's old town is almost entirely built by the Republic of Venice. It is one of the best-preserved old towns in Crete.

Option 1: You will have more than to 2 hours to look around, to have a drink or meal. This tour is 120km and 4 hours.

Option 2: You will have more than to 2 hours to look around, to have a drink or snack. The way back we will stop at the beautiful lake of Kournas. The only freshwater lake in Crete. There are plenty of restaurants with traditional good food. We stay there for 1 hour. This tour is 130km and 5 hours.

Option 3: You will have more than to 1,30 hours to look around, to have a drink or snack. The way back we pass through the seaside village Georgioupoli and we will continue through Apokoronas Villages (Exopoli, Kalamitsi, Vamos, Tsivaras, Kalyves, Kalami). On the way, there are plenty of restaurants and you can choose one of them to have a meal. This tour is 120km and 5 hours.

Option 4: In this option we visit first the Arkadi Monastery (80km & 80 minutes from Chania) There you stay 40 minutes. Then we go to Rethymno city. You will have more than to 90 minutes to look around, to have a drink or meal. This tour is 160km and 5 hours.
