Ancient Aptera

The tour start from Chania center. The archaeological site of Aptera is located 17 Km from Chania at the South East (25 minutes), near the village of Megala Chorafia. It was a vibrant city - state of the Geometric period after because of its position that controlled exchanges and commercial activities, thus was one of the most important Doric city - states of Crete. We stay there more than 1 hour to see the place, the Ancient Theatre and the Venetian Castle.
